Old Oregon Smokehouse in Tillamook

I love the Smokehouse! As a non seafood eater, theirs is truly worth having. Highly recommend cod and chips, the lobster melt, and the salmon dip. Fantastic for a quick bite to eat, and their homemade sauce and coleslaw really put the cherry on top of the meal.

We always stop in for a quart of the crab fondue but they were out. Still, great service in a relaxed environment. Huge selection of hot sauces too.

I had fresh fried Halibut fish and chips with slaw. It was truly fresh and melted in my mouth. They're best known for smoked Salmon and other quality seafare! It's a real Oregon Coast Landmark for a reason! I highly recommend this Fish house/Smokehouse. Get there!

Quantity has decrease and priced increased...sad...their chowder is good and still reasonably priced. That fish and chip picture is a whopping $17...yikes...at least they could have filled up with the fries. But their smoked salmon is ok priced but also very tasty.

It was ok. The service was not great as the staff all went outside for a smoke break for like 15minutes and there was no one inside for getting a to go container. The drink selection is minimal. The food itself was ok but I don't think it's somewhere I would go back to. The restaurant itself also needs updating. The carpet is very worn and was soaked and dirty. A cat came in and sat down throughout our meal which wasn't bad. There was one crab trying to desperately escape the tank that made me wish I hadn't gotten crab cakes. They were pretty good though and the sauce on the side was good. I think they need to do some updating and cleaning overall. Offering some tea would have been appreciated as well.

Thick, delicious chowder and amazing crab cakes. Outdoor seating. The building looks like a portable classroom, but don't let that fool you. The food is fabulous.

If there is a #1 best place for fish and chips in tillamook, this is it! Yes, I know every corner has a fish and chips joint, but these guys simply have the freshest seafood i have found on the coast. You want REALLY good halibut fish and chips? Don't miss this spot!

Delicious... inexpensive. We like to grab and go to cook some seafood when we camp in the area. But a big sunny patio makes for a great stop during your visit too!

Excellent fish n chips fresh fries delicious tartar sauce good coleslaw and fast friendly service. Good smoked salmon. Best little eatery for fish n chips in this area by far!!

Cod was fresh and soft. Batter was crispy and not too oily. Tartar sauce was thick and flavorful.

The halibut and chips, as well as the oyster burger were superb! Great chunks of fish, and the chips were the real deal. Clam chowder hearty and tasty, piping hot!

Great food and cute little sitting area. If they are busy, give them a few minutes. They move pretty fast.

Delicious food! We got the grilled cheese, halibut & chips, and a fish taco. The halibut was amazing and the taco was very good, the fries were also enjoyable! Quite affordable and a lovely little place. Only bummer is the limited seating.

Best fish and chips I've ever had. Fish was fresh, breeding was light with a slight kick of pepper. Clam chowder was outstanding, too. I've driven by this place quite a few times. Glad I finally stopped.

Best halibut and chips I have had, even better than that I have eaten in Alaska. Breading was crisp and not soggy and the portions were great! Looks like a hole in the wall but it was amazing.

A small, quaint, diner style seafood restaurant located directly across from the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Excellent fish and chips. The breading isn't overly thick, which is great. The fish is nice and flakey and their tarter sauce is really well balanced with lots of flavor.The large smoked oysters are also really good. They have a large selection of hot sauces that go great with any of their dishes.I definitely recommend this spot.

Good food and a nice spot for lunch or dinner. Fried oysters were very good.

Superior GF chowder and smoked salmon, made on premises. Great selection of daily fresh fish, as well as local clams and oysters. The two guys behind the counter were a hoot, knowledgeable and friendly.

Delicious super good good service on good prices

Service was great. Prices were above average but the food portion size was LARGE! The dips were amazing, crab melt was great, shrimp cocktail was good, clam chowder was fantastic!

Best fish and chips.... Uh dare I say anywhere?! Really good fresh fish and seafood. Large portions and good prices. Small non-descript location but really a hidden gem. We stop by at least once every beach trip.

Im giving 5 stars for the food and the price. Lightly breaded halibut and many big pieces. Lots of fries which were good. The clam chowder was thick and delicious. Had to drink Pepsi from a can but no biggie. They were out of crab cakes for the day. Gnats flying around. Hardly any customers there but it is the off season. However it was a beautiful day today. I would definitely go back for anything fried. I don’t care about fancy, I care about the food!

Good food service was ok

This place is pretty awesome. I would definitely recommend it. We got the Salmon fish and chips, which was perfect. The clam chowder was good, although it was a little thicker than I prefer. Overall, I feel like this is an outstanding option for seafood. Great quality, reasonable prices and great customer service. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the limited space and bare bones decor. I don't consider this to be a problem because everything else is so great, but others might not want it. It is basically a seafood market with some simple tables and chairs. They also seemed to run out of space for other diners after we were already seated.My wife and I wanted to return on our way home, but it didn't work out with our schedule. Needless to say, we were very impressed.

This place is directly across the street from the giant Tillamook Cheese complex. Its sign is worn but the food is fresh and fast and the deck is puppy and kid friendly. No beer or wine but some great seafood. The shrimp melt is loaded with cheese and lots of shrimp.

This place has the best fish and chips in Oregon hands down so far. I always tend to frequent this joint every chance I get. Halibut fish and chips, chicken strips for the wife. They also have great clam chowder. Always fry sauce, tarter, and or ranch is always excellent as well. Hopefully one of these days I can get past halibut and try the prawn and chips. Thanks for the great food!!!

We went for lunch on Sept. 14th. Maybe they were just having an off day. I'd seen all the good reviews and was expecting something really delicious. Instead, it was $20 wasted. We ate about three bites of our food and threw the rest of it away. The fish and chips were tasteless and greasy. The 'homemade' chili had the consistency of soup. It was horrible. Needless to say, we won't be going back.

Fish and chips were good. Fried oysters were good. Cole slaw wasn't that good, but we didn't go for that. Smoked salmon was good. Would go again. Nice location. Tillamook is a pretty area.

My husband and I would drive an hour just to eat here they have the best fried oysters, fish n chips and my favorite classic clam chowder. I Highly recommend this seafood place.

Excellent food! All homemade sauces and the food is fresh! Great salmon and chips and the crab cakes are fantastic! Hole in the wall looking with big time taste. This place should be on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives!

This place is a little gem, right across the street from the Tillamook creamery.We had the halibut and clam chowder. All of the food was fresh, and very very good.I wish we lived nearby, because we'd go back again and again.

The food is much better than the place looks. The sign out front riley is old Oregon. But the food was good.

What you get for the price is alright. Fish could have been better.

I was excited to try this place based on the reviews. BUT I was so disappointed. I ordered a crab melt and while the crab was abundant on the open faced hoagie it was so salty I ended up throwing half of it away. The fries were good but $18 for a soggy, salty bland crab melt was a huge disappointment.

The absolute best seafood shack in the entire state! I've been here only a handful of time over the past 10 years and EVERY time its amazing. Pretty much the highlight of our trip from Portland to hit the beach. This trip we had fried clam strips, the halibut n chips and crab cocktail. All so perfectly done and even the sauces are on point. It's not the least expensive but it's worth it. Stop here, eat, tip and walk away happy!

Let me tell about this place. I asked the local people who live in Tillamook where are some of the best places to eat in town and one of their favorites and top ideas was this place. Well they weren’t lying. This place sure knows how to serve up great sea food. Fish n chips, with 3 kinds of fish. Prawns and chips oysters, oyster shooters Crab shrimp clam chowder even fresh fish to take home and cook your self. We come to Oregon once or twice a year and we love to stop at this place. Don’t be fooled if this place doesn’t look the best. They more than make up for it with their cooking.

Sadly disappointed. Did not live up to the reviews unfortunately. We ordered the fish n chips and clam chowder. This wonderfully fried fish they spoke of wasn't. The fry fell right off and it was dripping wet from oil laying on top of the French fries. Coleslaw was good and homemade. The chowder gave the impression of not being made from scratch in my opinion. Who knows! The people that worked they're were excellent and played a huge roll in giving 3 stars.

Absolutely loved this place. We went on a recommendation. I knew I was going to be happy when I saw the Traeger smoker outside. We had fish, salmon, prawns and chips, crab cakes, chowder, grilled cheese, and a BBQ pork sandwich. Best fish and chips and chowder I have had in Oregon. Don't be fooled by the outside. Right across the street from Tillamook Cheese Factory.

Best food ever. Don't pass up! Got prawns and chips and a Cod taco. Wish I ordered double!
